Closing the Provincial Chinese Chess Championship, Tang Nguyen Giai – Chuanlican Cup: Ha Van Tien won the championship.

The Provincial Chinese Chess Championship, Tang Nguyen Giai – Chuanlican Cup 10-2019 has just ended after the final took place with quite unexpected results. Binh Duong’s player, Lai Ly Huynh, who won the Vietnam championship and the 2019 world bronze medal in Canada in 2019, lost to player Ha Van Tien (Ministry of Public Security, who won gold medal in the national strong competition) in the championship match.

Lai Ly Huynh wanted to have a quickly win so he made some mistake, whereas, led the opportunity for Ha Van Tien took advantage on the match. With this achievement, for the first time, Ha Van Tien wrote his name in the Tang Nguyen Giai Chinese chess championship’s list in the 10th celebration. Competitor Lai Ly Huynh 2nd place, Chu Tuan Hai (from Binh Phuoc) 3rd place, in which after overtake Dao Quoc Hung from Ho Chi Minh in the bronze metal match for professional players group. Vu Van Tuyet took the champion in the amateur group. Hoang Thi Hai Binh won the cup for female competitor.

This year, the competition had 120 players, whereas, 33 professional competitors, 8 female players and the rest is amateur players; with totally 150 million Dong worth awards.
